On the obverse side of this coin along the upper rim is the name of the country in English: “SOMALI REPUBLIC.” The date of issue, “2023,” is divided by the Coat of Arms. On the lower edge is the face value of “100 SHILLINGS.”

At the center, the reverse of the coin shows the head of an adult elephant as he wraps his trunk around a hanging branch. In the background, an African savanna landscape. Around the upper margin, the name of the coin series: AFRICAN WILDLIFE. At the lower edge is “ELEPHANT” and the precious metal content “1 oz Ag 999.9.”
