This 2-ounce silver coin is the 6^th issue of the “Gods” series and is dedicated to Dionysus who is the god of wine-making, orchards, fruit, vegetation, fertility, festivity and ritual madness.

The reverse of the coin depicts the wonderful image of Dionysus, in the act of lying down while enjoying fresh grapes, tasting good wine, in an atmosphere of festivity and banqueting. On the outer rim of the reverse is the inscription “DIONYSUS” and on the upper part also the inscription is the series label “GODS.” The obverse of the coin features the Effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions: “ELIZABETH II,” “NIUE ISLAND,” “2022” and “TWO DOLLARS.”
