The Mint of Gdańsk presents the third coin from the Sea Battles series. Trafalgar depicts fighting ships of the Spanish, French and British fleets, shrouded in flames. The French and Spanish fire on two columns of British ships, wreaking havoc. We can watch the ocean take its deadly toll.
The entire reverse is finished with a unique decoration with a special string, referring to the rigging of the ship from which the French gunners attacked the English. Another addition that, as always, attracts attention on the coins of the Mint of Gdańsk is the high relief, which gives the coin a unique depth.
The obverse of the coin, in addition to the image of the issuer – Niue Island, contains a map of battle operations illustrating the movement of British ships under the command of Admiral Nelson and Vice-Admiral Colingwood against the combined Spanish and French fleet.
